In order to further their positioning as an educator and friend of screenprinters, Hanes Branded Printwear enlisted CCL to produce a video series that would shed light on common misconceptions in the industry. Specifically, they wanted to explain (1) the difference between ringspun and open-end yarn, (2) the performance advantages of Hanes’ polyester garments vs. competitors’, (3) the importance of a mill’s quality control to a screenprinter, and most challenging, (4) the entire lifecycle of a t-shirt from cotton to consumer.
Since the videos were targeted at screenprinters—traditionally young, creative, and entrepreneurial—the videos needed to be funny and memorable while still providing solid information and insight. Thus far the videos have received rave reviews from target audiences and a number of screenprinters and distributors have used them as training videos for their staff.
