Childress Institute for Pediatric Trauma

The Childress Institute for Pediatric Trauma is a research collaborative working to make advancements in and establish best practices for the treatment of pediatric trauma—physical injuries to children.

Traumatic injuries kill more children in the United States than all other causes combined. Despite this overwhelming reality, large-scale research funding is unavailable because the NIH does not recognize “trauma” as a disease. As a result, the Childress Institute has had to rely on fundraising from private donors and organizations. To aid in their fundraising efforts and help spread the word about pediatric trauma, they enlisted CCL to create a video that would properly capture the scale of the challenge, establish the need for a research collaborative like the Childress Institute, and offer viewers a way to get involved.
